What moves, and which way

En Garde to Klaviyo
- Audience segments, written as Klaviyo lists or segments.
- Cultural-affinity and engagement signals written onto matching Klaviyo profiles.
Klaviyo to En Garde
- Klaviyo campaign performance, reported against the En Garde segment that was targeted.
- Existing Klaviyo lists, segments, and profiles, so a sync can update rather than duplicate.
Connecting it
You generate a key in the platform and paste it into En Garde. The key is tested against the live API before it is stored, so a wrong or under-scoped key fails at setup rather than silently later.
- Start in Audience — build a segment using cultural-affinity, engagement, or behavioral filters. This is the same audience data En Garde uses for ad targeting, so a segment you already have is ready to sync, not something built specially for Klaviyo.
- Connect Klaviyo from Integrations and approve the connection on Klaviyo's consent screen.
- Click "Sync to Klaviyo" on any segment and choose to create a new list or update an existing one.
- Klaviyo campaign performance flows back into En Garde, so sends into a synced segment show up next to the ad performance for that same audience.
What En Garde syncs with Klaviyo
En Garde requests the following permissions, each tied directly to a feature above:
- Profiles (read/write) — Read existing Klaviyo profiles, and write back cultural-affinity and engagement signals En Garde computes.
- Lists (read/write) — Read your existing Klaviyo lists, and add matching profiles when you sync a segment.
- Segments (read/write) — Read Klaviyo-native segments and create new ones from En Garde audience exports.
- Campaigns (read/write) — Read Klaviyo campaign performance for attribution, and create pre-targeted campaigns from En Garde segments.
- Account (read) — Confirm which Klaviyo account is connected.
